So what are the plans for sat night as i am going to book somewhere to stay soon, portsmouth or gosport side?

Todd, book a room at the holiday in express Gun Whalf, it's 100m from the Customs House (see above), good place to start the night off from, Gosport is dead, but cheaper if price is an issue.
