I'm not a huge flannel fan but I wish something would fit well enough so I could own one at least

Haven't worn my MBB in a few months (Christmas fattened me up) and put them on today and wow I've missed these jeans!

I have been trying to figure out what I was going to do with my old MBBs since they're so big on me now… And I was wondering: @Giles do you think it would be possible to line these with flannel, by getting a pair of lounge pants and sewing them into the jeans at the very top which across the waist band, where the wait band is the thinnest? I'd open up the front of the lounge pants into a v-shape to accommodate the fly. What do you think?
