I think a lot of us missed the train on these,  the more I see G wearing the chop chop chicken leg the more I wish I jumped on this pant, short and long verison.  Hind sight is 20/20,  I am definitely going for the 703 if you bring them in G.

Does the serge material stretch?

I suspect it does not, it is massively dense.  So dense that even Haraki was thinking it was too thick (Beatle told him to stop being a wuss)…......

I've been wearing mine for forever now even wash/dried them and stretch is very minimal..

Well, the button popped off my olive pair last night and I was in shock haha. Just washed & dried all three pairs over the weekend and then wore the olive yesterday… went to take them off last night and I don't know if the belt caught it funny or if the thread just finally gave out after almost 4 years of constant use but I bent over and heard the loud pop and I just stopped and said ... NO! haha Wife is going to sew it back on soon... first pair of IH anything that has given way so far (outside of the chainstitch on my DC4001 that came lose of course) so I'm pretty proud

they great but too baggy for me.  should grab the 34 that scotty is selling but i can't afford to have a 36 & 34 at the moment of these.  might try to sell these so i can get the 34s .  . . .

I have just remembered I have a pair of chickened 701's.  I reckon about 12oz.  Quite a loose comfortable weave….
