Here is my proposal for a Viberg Service Boot.

specs i am thinking about:

style:          1950 Service Boot
leather:        Icy Mocha CXL
toe Cap:      Straight Toe Cap
last:            310 Last
sole:            Vibram 705 Half Sole with   
                    a Cat's Paw Heel
hardware:    Gun Metal.

true, but half of those are one pair of custom white's! so somehow not really helping with my decision! on the other hand though, let's see if I'm able to "find" some hidden money I do not know of by now!

Just this statement in the Viberg thread:

"Just received this from Nick at Horween: Chromepak is the hardest wearing tannage that we offer.  This article was developed decades ago for the use in applications ranging from harnesses to moccasin outsoles to work boots.  Substantial, but pliable, Chromepak is hot stuffed with an extremely heavy blend of proprietary oils and greases and then aniline finished.  The high oil content provides good water resistance and acts as a conditioner throughout the life of the leather.  The Chromepak process takes more than a month and yields an article that will last a lifetime."

I would have been down if it was brown harness or maybe even brown waxed flesh.  But, would prefer a danite sole.  Good looking boot though!

I may be interested.  Do you have a price quote?  And a rough timeline?

As far as specs, I like very much your original.  I might be interested in the 'Olive Chromepack,' but would need to see the leather.  Do like the Ice Mocha CXL though, or another nice brown leather.
