Can't really say- I've only worn them for about 30 minutes, and the only time I stepped out of the house was for 5 minutes to take the photos.  I'm considering using them for the HWBC, so they're not getting any real wear.

They're a bit thinner and lighter than the commando sole, which is nice, but I have no idea about any other characteristics.  When I finally decide to wear them some, I'll let you know.

How are those holding up, Giles?  If I remember correctly, didn't you say something about the eyelets coming loose?  I know deerskin isn't the strongest leather in the world and you're not exactly gentle with your boots.

They are my favourite boots that you own G, and this from a confirmed "Whites" man.

The eyelets really need fixing.  I discussed it with TFH when I was there in Nov.  I will see if they can retro fix when I am back there in May….
