@jii I have had my eye on a submariner now for a year. I think in the next 2 months it is time for me to finally pull the trigger on a dateless.

Yeah you might be right. I've always considered myself a one watch man myself. Ordered some nato strap adapters for the G-shock and decided to settle for that for now.

Get your self a good solid screwdriver as the stap adaptors can be a ballache to fit without one!!!!

Derivative666 here's something to give a lil' push :). I still catch myself looking at my wrist and think "holy shit I've got a Submariner and damn is it nice".

Cutlasshound, yeah I've installed a pair a few years ago and know exactly what you're talking about 🙂

Jii, having convinced you that you don't need another watch, there's always the indestructible Victorinox INOX. It's quartz, but don't hold that against it, and so over-engineered you can drive a tank over it. Twice.

That Sub looks nice. D666, have you seen the new Sea Dweller 4000? It's similar to a Sub, but a bit more burly.

That Victorinox is indeed quite interesting. Kind of like a more refined G-shock 🙂 Got nothing against quartz watches either, they definitely make life easier especially when not being used constantly.

I'm going to trade my PAM and get a Rolex.. How safe it is to send a watch using postal service? Will it cost me more than USD200 via Fedex/UPS/etc to the states? Any experience?

I've seen the Dark Knight, and I'm not sure if the dial is that clear.

The Bathyscaphe Chronograph will be available in black ceramic, and I think would be a more interesting option. It's going to be 16,000 CHF (about $18,000), not sure how that compares to a Fifty Fathoms.

thanks Graeme. I did looked at the bathyscaphe but the hands are not to my liking. New fathoms is also around that figure USD16000 +/- .

I was offered a trade for both my 000 and 111 for a complete set, mint condition but decided to declined.

I guess my search will continue.
