Or any tips on how to apply without seeing on the other side would be appreciated.

From the other side you can't tell they have been applied (that is the whole point).  I have no idea what the stitch is called…

Reviving an old thread.

Heard the term 'Liberty cuffs' but didn't have a clue what they were but just reading these posts and Wikki,  they are pretty cool.

Has anyone fitted them to other parts of shirts or jackets?

I don't wear my cuffs back on shirts but thinking they could work under a collar on a jacket? Maybe an N1.
