I'm thinking of copping some 555s (not sure which yet) so would like to know what you mean by underestimated mate? Too small/tight?

They are a little slimmer than I had anticipated.  I can get them on and button them and walk around but I wouldn't be able to do anything really physical in them.  Basically I should have gotten a 31 instead of a 30.  Totally my mistake.

Riff, that denim does stretch a lot…..

Maybe I'll give it a few days. It's mostly the thigh/crotch area.  If I can get a little bit of thigh stretch they should work.

random things i've  noticed on my 555 03s (34)  & 9301s (33). i think the 9301s are a bit roomier in the top block & tapper less than the 03s, but i didn't measure yet to get "proof".  hell for all i know it's just the denims used causing the difference in feel.

the patch on my 03s have taken on a peanut butter color & i luv it:

the patch on the 9301s is just blacked out & really goes well with super black stubborn denim:

What was your reasoning on killing the sbg denim? Also… any chance of ever getting the 555 in a non-fade black denim?

Initial fit post soak. I think I'll let them settle in behind the knees and send them off to get hemmed in a month or so.  Went with a 33 as it was available via almari2010 on the forum and the bit of extra room in the thigh and lower appealed to me.  Waist is snug but comfortable, and I'm thinking it will also be fine with a belt. On a side note, this is my first iron heart denim, and I am just blown away by the craftsmanship.
