Here's the thing. Hiraki does a lot of things that cater exclusively to what we want. We've requested chinos, slim ducks, denim shirts with pockets and so on. They turned in to great pieces.

But my favorite items are things that weren't suggested here. Things that came exclusively from Hiraki and his crew. Think blanket lined denim shirts, wool shirts, the wool jackets, the condura jackets, the coated white jeans, the cord shirts/jeans/type III. They seem to have a certain soul to them. Hiraki and crew take risks in designs.. sometimes they're great, sometimes not so much.

This guy caters to our requests quite a bit already… but in the end it is his brand. He is IH.

I do agree H 100% is the final answer and should do what he sees fit for the brand.  Many great people like H have so many decisions to make on a daily basis.  Those decisions sometimes need an extra eye to help fine tune the end result.  Think about where Levis has gone.  They were one time what every Jean company wanted to be.  That has obviously changed.    They bring their vision to the customer without any specific demo in mind and it's safe to say they don't ask the customer what they want to see from the brand.  Iron heart on the other hand has a specific demographic it chooses to attract and advertises it that way.  But how far can a company go just by making one type of style or item.  Think of it this way…I highly doubt any of us only wear Iron Heart...we buy other brands to add something different than just a straight biker look.  I like the idea of Iron heart taking chances by venturing outside their usual style.  In this case of colored jeans I'll pass as that's not my style but if he is willing to go that far I'd love to see where else H will go.  It's a difficult task to maintain the original type of customer when you might be looking to grow the brand.

Do bikers wear "slim cut" jeans? You guys have requested some things that weren't the norm, so why so harsh on this? I don't like the bright colors but I'm not gonna bash the creativity

The greys look stunning, and with fades they would be even better, in whatever weight fabric he wants.  Especially since the 634S-GR's are more black than grey, these would be a nice option.

On the red and turquoise, IF HE OVERDYED THEM, then they would be incredible.  That way the colors, which are beautiful, wouldn't be so bright and overpowering.  Just think, black/blue on the outside, fading to turquoise or red, that would be the ultimate atari fade!  And still within the boundaries of genuine quality, durable workwear.
-Well, I don't know much about the process of dying yarns, so this might not work, but kudos to Haraki-san for pushing the boundaries.

White is not a color. Maybe that is the issue. Who knows.
