Does anyone have any experience of the fit/quality of the pike brothers deck jacket?

          .

i looked at one of these at the trip out last week ,the quality seemed pretty good ,and the price was good £260 ,where as the buzz rickson range from £400-£600 depending on where you buy them .

i am looking for a buzz rickson but may go for the pike bros n1

Cheers old chap.  In the end I had the chance to compare the Buzz and Pike Brothers ones side by side at American Classics.  I found the lining on the Pike Brothers to be a bit too coarse and the fit on both the Buzz/Pike didn't quite work on me.

Thankfully I went for the IH one which was far superior in every way, particularly with regards to the lining and cut.  The only thing that I will say is that the IH one has quite long arms (for bike riding purposes I know).

Also, totally forgot to post before but I did ask my mate regarding Pointer brand clothing and sadly they don't stock it 😞

I ain't got time to bleed.

I'm sure the IH version is every bit as nice, but I have the BR N1 and it is great. It all depends on how traditional you want to stay to the classic N1. Either way you win.

Huge fan of this brand. I own the Pike Brothers 1942 Zip Deck Jacket (blue) which I´m looking forward to wear in the colder months. It´s a classic.  Excelent quality and nice details on this jacket.

Wool. If its anything like their deck jacket though, i found that lining to be really bloody itchy/uncomfortable around the neck.

Looks decent though. Saw something similar in the rmc store the other day which was tempting

Agreed … the lining is very cheap / itchy wool - same like the deck jackets.

I bought their first deck jacket many years ago ... and now the IH-09.
What a difference! ... double in price - but 5 times better in comfort, look, etc.

Good to know. Didn't know about the lining either.

BTW how is Pike's 11 oz during summer? Recommendable for the warm days? (Eyeing the 1963 Roamer Pants now)
