Japanese website mention this washed on their sizing chart but i have doubt on the translation, can anybody help confirm if tag size 38 has 52cm and i can expect minimal or no shrinkage at all if i soak/wash this one or should i consider the size 40 chest 54cm and expect some noticeable shrinkage. many thanks.

All Samurai denim jackets are one washed, you will not get much shrinkage. Trust me, I had the same question a couple of years ago, owned one very similar to the one pictured (mine was the Jin denim), and washed it with no shrinkage.

I'm a couple of months into my S5000VX and I've just noticed the front pocket stitching coming undone, is there any way to repair this myself or should I send them off and get it done professionally?

Common problem on these, mine went after about 4 months and I just left them. Never got any worse so…. up to you I guess.

it really isn't a big problem and somehow common for samurai denim and the thread around the front pockets (back pockets as well btw.!)…on the other hand it's an more than easy fix (diy)...I'm not 100% sure, but somewhere in this or the repairs thread, there should be some pics of my pair with the same problem and its solution.

Just got my first pair of Samurai (710xx), with the IHSH-64.

One hot soak so far.  Probably going to let them settle and have BiG hem them when I go to NYC next time.  I suppose I could wait to wear them until April 1st for the HWDC, but I have very little will power.

Yes mate 710's , I'm sure you will love them the denim is beautiful
