Just to clarify if you're new, they get the products shipped to them from Japan, the time between them actually receiving anything can vary, and once they have them at IHUK in Gosport they normally list them to us within a few weeks or so and they always post the measurement charts roughly a week before release... Hope this helps!

Thanks, I expect these to go quickly so having measurements a week before the release helps with the decision

@adambyrtek Giles has elaborated on this here. Plenty of information on the process leading up to a release as well as on how to receive notifications

Regarding temperatures: How does the lightweight N1 compare to the IHJ-169 work jacket?

@macguffin IHJ-169 has a wool lining so I would expect it to be a lot warmer than the Lightweight N1. The N1 (being unlined) does have a generous amount of room to fit a flannel under!

The devil is in the detail..

This jacket looks pretty good to me, so it's probably something I'll be buying. I think it could work well for an Irish summer, as well as spring and autumn. My question is: will it be shorter and boxier like the last seasson N-1 light jacket, or more like the standard N-1 jacket? int the picture looks more slimmer and larger than previous N-1 light jacket.......

@emilink if everything goes to plan, it will fit like the sample used in the photos, scaled up and down from sample size. But until the production run is complete, we won't know for sure

Well, we'll see how it goes. But if it looks like the picture, I will certainly be buying it. I have to confess, the N-1 jacket is my favorite jacket in my wardrobe. As I mentioned, from spring to autumn, it would be a very good jacket for a mild climate like Ireland's.

Will definitely be looking at the size chart for this when it's ready. I'm hoping they fixed the much too small sleeve openings that were on last year's IHM-48.

Is there any chance you could measure the sleeve length on this sample jacket in size Large?
This is the most important measurement for me, as it will determine whether I’ll actually be able to wear the jacket.

@MichalM the sample doesn’t necessarily dictate what the production will look like. I don’t think we’ll know any more information about the coat until they’re actually in stock and measured.

@Anesthetist Yes, probably. But if Rudi wears a Large, then that size will probably be perfect for me, since his measurements are almost identical to mine. And the sleeves are long.

@MichalM samples may or may not have measurements similar to each other as tweaks in fit are often made in production. Going off of sample size is not a good indicator and you need to wait until the production run is finished and measured by the IHUK staff.
