This denim and this jacket are GOLD. Y’all it is dark in my house and not conducive to a fit pic at the moment, but I am so stoked that I got this piece. I’ve never felt a denim like this, and I can’t wait to see how it develops. Def want pants for summer out of this for sure.

Y’all. This jacket is my new favorite thing to wear. It’s so comfortable, and the denim is so beautiful with all these weird little hairs sticking out. If you’re on the fence at all—jump down and grab one immediately. I think that pants, a shirt, or a cpo out of this denim would be amazing.

Hi, all! First time posting but am so excited about this jacket that I felt the need to! Picked it up from Mildblend in Chicago today and love it. The linen/cotton blend is very unique and feels great. Very nice drape, no break-in necessary. Can likely wear year round with exception of really hot days. If anyone is on the fence, highly recommend. Cheers!

Want a type II and hesitating between this and the 19oz which was recently release. I mean over this one for the interesting texture but does it still have the sturdy feel of IH? Or is it really lightweight ?

@tvaillant75 this denim is unique. It is soft and drapes unlike any other Jean jacket I’ve ever had on my body. The denim is lighter weight, so it doesn’t feel like armor the way that other IH type IIIs I have, do. It still feels heavier and better than like a Levi’s or other mass market jacket. I imagine that the 19oz type II would feel a lot more like what I have come to expect from a typical IH jacket, but I’ve not touched that denim.

All of that said—the sample 163 that I have is my favorite denim jacket I’ve ever had. It feels crazy good to wear, and I haven’t touched any of my other long sleeves since I got it. It is summertime, but still.

@tvaillant75 I had the chance to try on both and much preferred this one for its fit and feel, but I also already have a few more traditional selvedge jackets in the collection. The 19 oz. is what you would expect from a well-made raw IH jacket - very stiff but will break in nicely if you put the work in. I will say - I would have sized up to a Large in the 19 oz. Took my typical Medium in the blend.

In my opinion, the blend may be a little more versatile because you can wear it year round. But it will lack the break in and fading process that is so much fun with raw denim.
