Whoa… I'm looking forward to seeing what Josh does to the RJB/FH Self Edge collabs he's been wearing in newer shots on the SE website. I love how the pocket hem has totally disintegrated on those 301s.

Hey guys, I'm thinking about picking up a pair of these (or the 555 when they're released) and was wondering if you guys could help me out with sizing. I don't live anywhere near a SE so I can't try them on first. I'm a sz 29 tts and wear a sz 29 in TFH 3001 and they fit perfect. I looked at the measurements and it looks like I should go with a 28, considering the waist measurement is 28.5 and the stretching is about 1.5" in the waist. I have chicken legs so I'm not worried about the thigh or any of that.

Or, do you guys honestly think I should just wait for the 555?

I believe so…I just need a few more dollars to go for them..I bought an IH tee and new Red Wings yesterday...LIke an impatient idiot.  I knew these were coming to Self Edge but I couldnt pass on the tee & boots.  I really want these though so I can rotate a different look into my weekly fits

^ I would highly doubt, unless they completely reworked the cut, which seems unlikely… the 301s cut has already been done in 4 different denims and none have had selvedge outseam

honestly its a waste that such a beautiful pair of denim is missing out the selvage outseam which is kinda "the clear cut evidence of selvage denim". but oh well, these are still very very gorgeous denim.

these are from a time & place when the selvedge id wasn't as important.  i know it's 30 pages but a lot of great information is in this thread.

In a nutshell, Haraki did not care much about details like this.  His concern is cut and utility.  It is for that reason he did not bother to mention that the new Tee's are loopwheeled.  I am slowly educating him that there are details like this that are important to us quirky Westerners…..

WOw lightz, they look perfect… I like the way the top block fits.  IMO u should fix up the stacks a bit.
