Hard to get the right lighting for this !

81 wears in, and this fabric keeps getting better. Not surprised at all, but still love it. Really cool seeing everyone who’s rocking these providing updates! -
@CAliCO_faded did they stretch on you at all? 1" typical?
-
@dugafola Yes, the waist has some give. I haven’t measured it exactly, but definitely more room after a few wears. I wouldn’t buy a size smaller to account for stretch though, it’s not that much

X-Post from WAYWT 2025
Got these upon release and been wearing the 301 version casually. Love how light they feel for being 19oz. This denim reminds me of the IH’s slubby denim in a way by how soft, stretchy, full of character & airy they are.

Nice looking indigo @RoxRocks86
Your dog looks rather unimpressed though

-
@Bridger thank you at least you have good taste! Two boys being unenthusiastic about great denim is heartbreaking to say the least! The other boy was behind the camera unenthused with big ol’ judgy eyes. I had a feeling the male audience was hard to please. Should've chose a girl pup for style reassurance

-
Na, I don't think it's a male / female dog thing. More of a human / dog thing. Dogs are cooler than humans and don't need Japanese denim to make them feel worthy

-
@kiya any chance of these getting restocked in the mid sizes?
-
Finally starting to get some character on these. Still a long way to go. Don't mind my homemade hem job. I found that these didn't work well with cuffs as the material is somewhat loose for 19 oz.
-
@KyIe and @RoxRocks86 can i please get your thoughts? How does this denim compare to other IH jeans? Which type would you compare them to? Have they stretched? Or lose indigo faster? Still loving it after this period of time? Im thinking of buying some but just thought to ask those who have lived experiences with it, so any thoughts would be great!
thank you! -
@cyclops This denim is very unique and I can't really compare it to anything else I have. They're not as stiff as I thought they would be for 19 oz. The denim has a nice slubby texture if you're into that or not. Mine haven't really stretched but they're not too tight so I didn't expect any stretching. I would just go for it they're amazing and probably my favorite jeans so far. Plus the patch is badass.
Here they are next to some 14 oz. 888s. You can see how different the material is.

@KyIe veeery cool and interesting! Thanks for your feedback and taking time to write back! I have the jacket but wasnt sure how this denim would translate in jean form and over a period of time. I now just need to choose indigo or OD!
-
@cyclops if you’re familiar with IH slubs & 18oz vintage, this denim feels like a hybrid between the two. This denim is in no way shape or form anything like IH’s heavyweight 19LHT denim. It’s the complete opposite. It’s soft to begin with and gets even softer with wear, it’s breathable, full of texture and I’ve noticed my pair easily stretched. I haven’t worn my pair a ton but have subtle fades happening. I have a feeling because of the texture it has the potential to be fast faders. I’m a fan of this denim. I’m actually thinking of getting another pair to use for work, lol.
-
@cyclops a couple of pieces with the same denim with different states of fades. The jeans and cell phone case have been worn/used daily for four months. As you can see, the cell phone case gets a lot more wear and tear. The CPO has been worn intermittently for about six months. It’s a beautiful denim that drapes very softly. Doesn’t feel like 19 oz at all. Hope this helps!
