so rocket,
you own this vest and the other 21oz indigo denim vest thats currently for sale - i'm wondering if you have both in the same size if they fit the same other than the indigo version being shorter?
this vest works well for me in terms of layering, but for just a t-shirt i don't think it'll work as well, i have extra room up top by the top two buttons, which is great for layering as i said but without it's kind of ridiculous.
also it's just a bit long for a t-shirt, it kind of swallows it up, it's fantastic over one, 2, or 3 shirts as well as over a hoody its grand!
i can't wait to get some aero leather, it'll be rad over any of their jackets and the western IH shirt, it's been on my radar for months, just have to get my measurements and take the plunge!

I have them both in 38 (medium) but the indigo denim vest I have is a modified 526J (cuted arms…) so the measurements are a bit different to the 526SV
I know what you mean with the fit and basically if worn open over only a tee, going down one size might work depending on your body type. Would carefully check the measurements in store and compare it to the vest you already have, to get a idea if it would work or not...

I've been seriously lusting over this vest since it was introduced, just not sure if it's a practical addition to my wardrobe or if I could "pull it off". It's so freakin badass though! I wish there were more pictures of us larger guys wearing it.

So for over 5 years you have been wanting this Vest and you have not gotten it? I say COP!!! I don't wear mine all that much these days, but I can't imagine it not being in my closet for when I do want to wear it.

I mean, totally not trying to push you into anything but that is a long time to want a item of clothing. I am sure in that period of time you have spent money on clothes you don't like as much. Anyhow, if you do decide to get one, we would all love to see images. Cheers and good luck deciding…

It's cool man, and yeah, I've spent a good bit over that time on things I don't like nearly as much. Much of it is office wear which kinda sucks, but is necessary. I hate to ask sizing questions but I'm still kinda unsure on how to size it after having read the entire thread several times. I typically wear an XL in most non-IH brands and either a XXL or XXXL in IH shirts. A 48" chest fits me well with room to spare. I've also got your old IHJ-05 which fits but is a little snug across the upper back. I'll stop rambling about now. Don't want to clutter the thread too much.

Hi Gratefulmelon nice thinking about this vest…you will not regret...I wear mine in S my usual size for IH shirts and tees also non-IH-brands...I think the cut is a bit fuller in the chest area and I could have sized even down to an XS for only wearing it with a tee under it. But I am quite happy now after it settled a little bit and wearing it with a nice heavy chambray or flannel under it. And it will even settle more...its really an armor vest
