IHSH-398-WHT - 11oz Corduroy Western Shirt - Off White
-
@Karol What exactly did you wear over this for the indigo run off?

-
@DWade I think that most of it comes from cuffs rubbing the jeans while walking, mainly my IH-555-XHS, IH-777S-21 (I'm yet to wash them), IH-888-XHSib (washed once) and IH-888S-21 (that last one is a old pair washed so many times that it probably did little difference).
Otherwise I usually had one of the CPOs on top of it - IHSH-293-OD, IHSH-362-BLK, IHSH-409-IB -
@Karol gotcha

@Karol Came out looking GREAT. My eyes aren’t the best but looks like most of the original indigo washed out, leaving behind a hint of blue/greyish color along a few seems.

-
@DWade Thanks!
I think Im just a bad photographer, I can't give this shirt justice.
The ''blues'' seem to be just the double layer of fabric. It's one of the reasons why I took the ones in full sun.
There is a tiny trace of indigo, in few places, on the inside hem, but when I just look at the shirt, I can't see any blue. -
@Karol It’s a beauty indeed, not too many days/weeks left here in Western Canada
to wear mine, temperature is noticeably changing. Will aim to do the same as yourself with before/after wash/dry pics when the time comes.Thankyou again for sharing, certainly have some confidence now in wearing it freely and then the wash process

Hey sorry to bother, but what was your recipe to washing and keeping your shirt looking crispy clean? Thanks
-
@hugothecowboy Good question. I had my share of fears when buying it but with the right process it can be tamed. It has to be also said that it looks good even with few stains from crocking.
The biggest issue to manage is the fabric ability to gather fabric strains from, well everywhere I guess. Its a real lint magnet, and so its the most important step to get this out before washing so it is not geting deeper into the corduroy.
I am using combination of vacuum cleaner and Ikea lint remover. After that it is a 40 degrees Celsius wash (as per the IH care instruction) and everything is well.
