they are wider than the 444. For me the problem is that I have to wear orthopedic insoles and therefore I need to size up . So they might be good for you even they are a little wider than the 444. Guess they would be ok for me if I could wear my normal size 9.5 without insoles. but sizing up and a little wider makes them too big for me.the leather is much thinner and softer than the sturdy horse butt on the 444, but that makes them interesting for those who look after comfortable boots out of the box .

they are definitely wider than the Lofgren !
but the shaft is wider too . I didn’t manage the 444 to work with my 555, but the 269 seem to have a shaft that’s a little more narrow than the 444 have . And as the leather is much softer it might work. -

can’t compare them to the Wesco’s .
But if you want engineers that fit like a sock , than Clinch is the way to go
.
Role Club would be a great alternative too, and easier to get at the moment I guess. -

The wesco has the right instep for me in a standard D width but the toe height is pretty low. I requested more toe height in a new wesco custom mr. lous that should be ready next week, so I'm hopeful for those. I'll checkout those other boots, hopefully i can find somewhere to try them on.Most other pull on boots ive tried fit me terribly b/c of this.

@Daniel-San where did you get them? Was checking in on a couple of stockists the last weeks but never found an available pair in my size. Think we are the same size (9.5us) ??

the main order came a few weeks ago, but size 10 wasn’t delivered. So I did a preorder to make sure I get the size 10. They sold out very fast .
Guess it will take a year again before they get restocked. Maybe DC3 in Berlin gets them earlier , they were a few month ahead the last restocks . Otherwise you need to look
international. Just ordered some boots from Japan , and even with the taxes they were cheaper . -

@Daniel-San thanks for the heads up regarding the restock!! I saw the last drop but hesitated because I just got my Wescos. When fomo kicked in my size was sold out already. I was also looking at the skoob engineer because they age very cool, but with summer coming I maybe wait a little more

I would prefer the 444 as the leather is just awesome! and I like the shape of the 444 more than the skoob -
@Daniel-San yeah I love the shape too, but you wrote that the 444 don't fit under your IH 555 so that's something to consider. Maybe the 269 then or something else.

hell yeah, after a long time of waiting I finally got them
they may not have triple or quadruple stitching, but the leather is out of this world!!
When you open the box the magic begins, they smell awesome!! Absolutely unique leather smell that no other boots have . And this awesome smell lasts, my brown ones still smell and I really enjoy it when wearing them .
the shaft on these is a little narrower ( 1cm) , will check if they fit with 555 @FlavourFade
And they made new soles , the brown ones have Vibrams .
the thickness of the leather is impressive, not to talk about the grain of the leather. the black ones have a little more subtitle grain than the brown ones.
what really fascinates me is that the look really sleek, but have the most space for the foot from all my engineers.
They will get into rotation tomorrow
