Going to be in London on the 17th April from late afternoon until mid afternoon the following day. Then I'll be visiting family for a week. Followed by Paris on the 25th and Zurich on the 26th. I'm also thinking about Berlin after that. But I need to check a few things first.
I say I'm going to be in London on the 17th - that's the train I didn't book… bugger, I'll have to change that.
Well, the whole plan almost came crashing down around me then. Quoted price for ticket from Mcr to Ldn the time of day I wanted to go [expletive] extortionate. An hour or so earlier half the price ???

Having left my wife and her friend to plan the itinerary for my Berlin trip, the only time I'll be able to meet any forum folk will be Monday 30th April in the daytime. I'm planning on going to @Burg und Schild that day so if anyone can make it let me know and we'll find a time. @Jordan23 I guess you may be working?

I might join you, I'm 50/50 on this one. The 26th is my bday so usually I stay in town to be with friends/family but then again a trip to Cali might be cool for my bday as well.

@Chap and @DrPat and @ALL - we will be having a fish'n'chips event on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th July, following on from Selvedge Run in Berlin. Haraki san will be here, along with Tom and Kenta
Outline plan is for fish'n'chips'n'drinks on Friday evening (venue TBC), then usual gathering at the IHUK workshop on Saturday afternoon with barbecue (yakitori) and lots of drinks and chats and general fun, and possibly a little mayhem.
I'll start a new thread soon, but basically this year we want to keep it very simple (after the rigours of last year's Kanreki event I have promised myself a break!) All comers are welcome but will need to make own hotel bookings, so we'll include a list of suggested accommodation when we start the Fish'n'Chips July 2018 thread.

It's in a really beautiful building and if the weather is good you can sit out in a courtyard. The food is tremendous.
