yesterday first act on main stage were Manic Street Preachers. i was never a fan, but they did good, that bloke can sing quite well and songs are designed for open air, festival stages.

also a croatian national holiday yesterday

Jack White killed it, incredible performance. the band is tight, he's true, sound was awesome. i was very happy

@endo
Did they do any acoustic songs in their set? It was a highlight for me when I saw them in the spring. Also check out their new KEXP set that just dropped this week.
-
@Heritage_Guy I know what you mean, but not really. I would have liked to hear "Mellowing." Still, it was impressively beautiful.
And thanks, will check the KEXP video.

2nd day of the festival for me started with Flaming Lips who gave a fantastic show. WC was sick with pneumonia just a few days ago, cancelling gasometer concert in Vienna, so respect for coming while recovering.

i didnt have a clue who Jehhny Beth is but it was fun, loud and good energy
gorillaz closed the night, with quite a show. not my cup of tea, but people really enjoyed it!

3rd and final day of the festival with Idles on main stage. they were incredible. a national treasure

after them it was nice to see Dry Cleaning again!

Kings of leon were headliners, met some people had some beers, didnt bother taking pictures.

Journey tonight at the Great Southern Bank Arena in Spfld, MO. Don’t stop believing mf’ers

my man's teeth here are brighter than the lightshow. respect.

@Stringthing75 it was something to see in person….the gleaming chompers.

I concede tue “new” guy is great. He’s just not Steve Perry.
This is more of a rant but I don’t want to see bands without their major players. Queen with that other dude. G&R without Axl. I don’t even fuck with Pixies without Kim Deal. Some bands I accept have rotating members but it’s like going to a basketball game to see LeBron and he stayed home. Even if they win it’s not what I went for.
-
@Tago-Mago , that's almost as bad as Dio with Black Sabbath.

@Matt even worse: AC/DC with Axl
I don’t know what that was all about but no thank you. I guess it could be good just call it something else.
Now that you mention it I would also concede that AC/DC is still AC/DC without Bon Scott and just as good. As with most things I say and think they are not written in stone.

. Heaven and Hell is the best Sabbath album. But I love Master of Reality, too. Why choose one when I can have both?
