I don't know, sorry.  But I would not be surprised if it is all indigo, both the 23 used in this jean and the 25 used in the XHS are super dark, Haraki really laid the indigo on thick…..

Thanks for the answer. Of course that could be possible. I remember the Fullcount denim that was used for the BiG contest and it was also nearly black to begin with.
It also might have to do something with how it is woven? If the weave is tight so less weft shows through, it would also appear darker I think.

Correct, hardly any of the weft show's through - same with the 25

it is super saturated indigo, super dark from high dip count, with short oxidation period between dips

Good question Mank.  The Warp is effectively exactly the same hue of indigo in both denims.  The 23 appears slightly darker than the 25 as the weave is a little tighter therefore more of the weft shows through on the 25:

the indigo/blue stitching put these over for me.  i mean almost all of my jeans (regardless of the cut) fit me kind of the same

from those pictures they look nearly identical dark to me (regarding the warp) so I don't really get Kiya claiming these to be the darkest denim IH made so far. But I assume I'm correct if both will fade with a high contrast (or have the potential)?

Just a personal thing but I don't dig the indigo thread. Feels like it's missing something or different for the sake of been different…..

I agree. I think the indigo thread looks great on some jeans, but for some reason this one looks a little bit out of place. Can't put my finger on quite why that is.

As you said, it's a personal thing so I'm sure many others love it. I guess that's the beauty of diversity - there is something for everyone!

Comparing them side by side the SEXIH jean is considerably darker in shade.

I feel like the navy thread works well for jeans that are meant to be dressed up, but it doesn't work as well for these since they're so burly.  Dressy jeans should be lighter, so they drape more easily and look more "refined".  These are just too beefy for that sort of look.

On the other hand, the navy thread could look really nice once the denim starts to fade and they get more contrasty.  Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I went to SF SE today to check these out ahead of the sale.  Amazing denim, feels great, and has a deep midnight blue color.  Leather patch was super cool too.  Per staff, for those hemming, apparently SE is going to do a blue thread chainstitch. All in all really nice.

However, when I tried them on, the front rise was pretty low. Too low for me, so will have to pass. Ho hum.
