@SaddleSC western, which is what I always do. I just prefer them. I love the snaps. I think I’m up to 7 in the collection now.
I hope I sized correctly with the A2. It seems like the IH staff all sized down 1 for it. My N1 is an XL and fits exactly perfect. I wear it over a t shirt and if I want to layer with a UHF, or hoodie ,it’s snug, but still good. The chest, and waist measurements for the A2 seemed to make it seem like it fit a size bigger than the n1. This style of jacket also looks better to me when it’s not oversized.

@Johnnyutah247 Very cool! I have the Western also...the snaps and the back yoke, combined with the trimmer fit is what I love about it!
As far as the sizing...I almost always go with Medium in IH jackets, I have the N1s and also an M65 that fits perfect. I was worried that if I were to size down to Small, based on the measurements, it would get a bit restrictive in the shoulder/arm openings and sleeves at the elbow.
It is really a crap shoot when you cannot try these things on in advance. I will be happy if it has some room to layer, especially because the sleeves are lined with wool, rather than satin:)
I think we will both be happy! You will get the trim style you are looking for and hopefully I will finally have some room to layer a UHF or Loopwheel hoodie under the jacket!

I bought the whip not even knowing, or perhaps forgetting, that the serge was also coming out. I like my other two whipcord jackets for the protection they provide from the elements so I’m glad I stayed with the whip. But that serge looks so good with its already faded look. It’s a hard choice. Ultimately just go with what one fits you best. I am super pleased with the fit. I’m always worried because I’m super tall that they’ll be too short, but because I sit in a car all day, I kinda like a shorter cut, you know like a policemans jacket or a piolet.“Life is too short to be taken seriously.”

In regards to sizing for us smaller dudes i sized down from my normal small. For reference I’m 5’7 and 147lbs and wear a small in the N1 and M65. I was a bit worried with going with an XS but I trusted the measurements and everything worked out. Even with it being an XS it feels looser than the N1 in a small. A medium weight hoody or flannel fits fine under it with just a bit of tightness in the shoulders. I’m in love with this jacket

@Smiladon I’m curious … what’s the difference between the serge and the whipcord? I own a whipcord N1 so I’m very familiar with that material. Thank you.
