@Mizmazzle all this in spades (except warmth untested). I think you already know you need one!

@jerkules thanks – it’s pretty easy with something so good.

Could work well under your incoming/new
      IH-526Lod?

@Mizmazzle @ARNC great to see these out in the wild. Really, really like this but not sure I can justify another Hickory shirt when there's so many other pieces on my wish list...

@T4920 it's so good and if anyone can justify another hickory shirt, you can!

Mine will get it's first proper wear today - I'm sure there'll be some pics a bit later once I've got dressed.

@endo thanks! They work so well together, although I think the 366 will look great with pretty much everything!

Yea this shirt is a very easy wear. I don’t own any other hickory stripe, but this weight and fabric were the perfect placement in my wardrobe.

It’s supposed to be a fast fader, but I can’t even imagine what the fading will look like on a shirt like this?? Maybe the stripes will lighten up and turn a soft blue?

@Mizmazzle can't capture it too well on camera, plus it's very subtle, but yeah you're about right!

On my bag it's less of a uniform fade pattern, but you can see how the Hickory has evolved through rubbing against stiff shirts and denim jackets...

@IrishHeart thanks! I’m usually a large in work shirts, rarely an XL. I stuck with my regular size L for this one but asked the crew to pick me one that was below the published measurements at the opening. This worked out perfectly for me.

Although the measurements look a bit bigger than usual on this one, the fabric drapes nicely and I think it’s more forgiving than a stiffer/heavier fabric. I’d be cautious about sizing down unless you’re at the lower end of your usual size.

If you can make the sizing work you will not regret getting one of these!

@T4920 thanks man! That was super helpful. The fade will be cool cool to see in time. But honestly didn’t buy this one for the extreme fade potential. Just love the weight and fabric. Gonna be a great Autumn weight.

@IrishHeart yeah I agree with what @ARNC said. I went with my normal size large. I actually meant to try a size Medium while I was at Berkeley Supply. But I put the large, my normal size and it fit great. Kinda wish I tried the Medium just to see. But I measured the Large when I got home and I guess I got one slightly smaller than the posted large measurements all around so it worked out perfectly. Also, even if if shrinks a touch upon washing it will be even better.

In the easy chair with my boots on, melted whiskey in my hand. Could'na been asleep for more than three hours...time to go to work again...

Not the best photo, but first outing in the new 366. The fabric has already softened considerably. Lovin it!!

Right out of the "box", as anticipated, this fabric has a really great hand to it!

Here are fit pics of Medium:

                                    0.jpg
                                    A.jpg
                                    B.jpg
                                    C.jpg

                                    E.jpg

I think the Medium fits great, except for the the forearm. On my IHSH-274-IND the forearm is 32cm, on the IHSH-366-IND it's 28.4cm & 29.0cm. (Forearm measured 22cm up from sleeve opening.) I'm contemplating moving up to a Large however think the shoulders will be too big, might have to ask if the IH crew can check the forearm measurement on the remaining Mediums.

For those who are interested here is a comparison of the 12oz IHSH-274-IND and this 8oz IHSH-366-IND:

                                      comparison.jpg

Do I regret owning both? No, they are different enough; I really really like the insides of both, which are visibly on display when the sleeves are rolled up. If I could only buy one I would have to pick the IHSH-366-IND due to it's weight and hand.

@GreatDenimFan I can’t tell what the forearm issue is from the pics, but overall the fit looks great. I suspect that the L will be too big for you but no harm in asking the IH crew (they have a habit of working miracles).
