Probably I'm just dimwitted but I could not find a threat here on this great brand so I start (another) one.

It was at this years Anni party in Gosport when I spotted TJ Schneider from The Shop Vancouver in a leather jacket which colour blew me away. If you were there you will remember, whether you liked it or not. So, after some websearch on the guy (whom I didn't know before), the shop and watching many of his funny videos I finally found the brand.

Double helix. Finding a jacket I liked was pretty easy on their website. While TJ had been wearing a type I ('western cowboy') or II (gold digger) , I preferred the type III style named 'western pioneer'. The colour that had blown me away they call 'indigo'.

The rest was quite straight forward. Getting sizes right just by the measurements given in the web, ordering online, 4 weeks for making, app. 10 days for shipping. Here we are …

This piece is just fantastic. The smell, the touch, and the colour (at least for me).
And it's supposed to age wonderfully.

Now that is a lovely thing. I debated quite a bit between this jacket and my kakishibu Y2. I have no regrets about what I bought, but this one is always in the back of my mind.

And you should not @Anesthetist , your Y2 kakishibu look absolutely wonderful. I'm always impressed when you post pics with it. Hope my Double Helix will also age nicely.

This was today's combo (in better light). Maybe not optimal to bring out the beauty of the leather jacket, but it was a compromise to the weather and occasion. Funny, how different the colour of the leather can look, sometimes light blue, sometime turquoise, sometimes deep indigo.
