I haven't spent much time in Texas but one thing I remember was the wide, but still just two lane, highways.
You'd come up on a slower car, and they'd kinda move to the right, there was a wide shoulder, they'd keep their speed but let you pass.
Never encountered that anywhere else. -

you can see the price n the background $3.39/gallon = Eur 2.4/gallon = Eur 0.64 / liter. Here in Paris it's about Eur 1.50 / liter, a tad less than 8 bucks a gallon
