      @Crit_Obs:

Oud and Oud Satin Mood are my favorites of the series as well and I prefer the extraits to the edps.

Alongside MFK, Histoires de Parfums is my other go-to fragrance house. I'm wearing 1740 Marquis de Sade right now and I'm convinced that non-oudy, masculine, mysterious winter scents don't get much better than this. 😎

I think TF's Amber Absolute is being reintroduced… In the meantime, MFK's Grand Soir and HdP's Ambre 114 are other solid ambers.

Do you have any recommendations from Parfums de Marly?  I've never sampled any of their scents but I have a decant of Layton headed my way.

Thanks @Mustafa911 .  I had a decant of Godolphin in my cart but deleted it and went with Layton instead.  Herod was next on my list.

I do like leather scents.  I own a bottle of Tom Ford Ombre Leather but haven't tried the Tuscan leather yet.

Got it . Layton and Layton Exclusif are two different types . I don’t like regular Layton.
Tom Ford Tuscan learher is good but you can get something very similar for $60 with better performance “rasassi La Yuqawam Homme”

I'm just in love with Seven Potions clay…seriously a great product. Easy to apply, has a bit of grip when applying, hold is great(not extreme), light weight, little more matte then natural finish and so easy to restyle during the day if need be.

Been through the windy day and only had to put my fingers through once to fix. I know my hair is short, so pretty easy to hold for most product.

Arcadian clay pomade is my second favorite next to Claymation.

I generally rotate between three tubs; Hanz De Fuko Claymation, Layrite Natural Matte Cream, and Arcadian Clay Pomade.

I don't like claymation as much, probably my 5th. I have to try it a few more times though.

So I have used different products, cut/clipped my hair but keep the top growing longer and got a few new ones and one on the way still. I have been using, Arcadian Clay Pomade, Layrite Cement Clay, Seven Potions Clay, Hanz De Fuko Claymation, Shear Revival Northern Lights Matte Paste & Gray Ghost Cream. I have Templeton Oasis Clay coming as well.

All product have their own strengths, but I keep going back to the Shear Revival products as they apply beautifully and hold all day with great texture for me. Acradian Clay is great as well, not as much strength, but really lightweight and super easy to apply.

Glad I got back into taking care of my hair/face for multiple reasons.

I'm an advocate for Keune Matte Effect if you like a reliable hold, no sheen, and good body.  I've been going to the same barber for almost 8 years now.  He definitely knows what he's doing and it's what he recommends.

                              Yes, shaving!

I‘d like to quit using plastic cartridge systems with multiple blades - name the brand you like…
I shave once a week and all of these multiple blade things get stuck with stubbles rather quickly.
I also don‘t like the plastic feeling of most systems.

Thus I will switch towards a stainless steel DS razor.
I browsed the web a bit and now I am inbetween the Pils 101 and the Feather AS-D2.
Both of them full stainless steel construction and each a piece of art.
My brain says „Pils“, my guts say „Feather“...
Any of you guys using one of these?
                              Any other ideas?
What are you using to tame your beard stubbles?

Futurs are great! I'm currently using a Futur with Astra blades. They're a little gentler on my face. Feathers are too sharp for my sensitive skin.

The best thing to do is to get a blame sampler to figure out what works for your skin.

I use Proraso shaving cream and Geo F. Trumper Skin Food aftershave. A little bottle of Skin Food goes a long way, and it's the best aftershave I've ever used.

Just ordered a Feather togther with Feather blades and I am very curious.
To compensate for my rather thick stubbles I added some alkaline Dr. Dittmer cream.
Actually I am also using Proraso and will try that first…

Good luck with the Feather. They have a rep for being incredibly sharp. I don't use my Feather portable because I have sensitive skin and don't want to look like the guy from Hell Raiser

Started with shitty multiblade razors, to safety razor(which I still use at time and is a great way to shave without having the upkeep/sharpening) and now I have a Theirs Issard straight razor. I already had a decent range of whet stones and strops to keep it as sharp as possible (with my skill level that is). From factory, though it said shave ready, wasn't. If you aren't used to sharpening, honing etc. Read up and watch videos. There are a lot of techniques people swear by. I sharpen my edc knife the same as my straight razor.

As for my knowledge in all my pomades…as many tests as my hair grows, I found the best thing is volumizing mousse and then adding pomade. Really gives my hair volume and wanting to stand up, so pushing my hair to my side gets my desired look. My two favs now are the mentega clay and first hand clay. Both are seriously amazing products, apply easy as hell, style easy as hell, have great texture, don't dry out and last all day and even for 2 days. I think the first hand has slightly longer durability, just.
