Wax Treasure (Vinyl)

The Blackstar, a candle and a hand-forged nail.
What a contribution to the last record of an artist theme @GreenMan

[GreenMan]

@Aetas Such a great album

[Bridger]

@GreenMan said in Wax Treasure (Vinyl):

Yeah, while listening it last night might have cried a little, Bowie’s Blackstar all over again for me

I feel you @GreenMan

Blackstar was Bowie's 26th album, recorded when he was 69 and undergoing chemotherapy. It's a ridiculously good album. A perfect bookend to the genius of an exceptional human.

Lazarus is hauntingly beautiful. I will let the video speak for itself,

Cash here... again. American recordings are really something else, Vinyl gives them that little extra

[GreenMan]

@Chap thanks for the reminder, have to spin this one too someday.

Now some Detroit post-punk

@Chap excellent choice

This reminds me that we haven't heard from @J-IV in this thread for quite a while

Juan has some stellar jazz lps in his collection

[NickD]

@Chap great record - is that the Tone Poet pressing?

[Chap]

@NickD Yep

[J-IV]

@GraemeE cheers dude! Life be lifing, so I haven’t had much downtime for some records. I still be lurkin’ though here and there.

I’m living vicariously through everyone’s post, like MoneyJungle. Heavy trio line-up right there

Manuel Göttsching - e2-e4 from 1981.

„Cut live without overdubs in a single hour, …“

[GraemeE]

@Aetas I've never heard of this record - its great

Im going to assume its the same Göttsching from Ashra? ( would be too much of a coincidence for 2 guys with the same name to make spaced out music ?)

[Aetas]

@GraemeE asked:

Im going to assume its the same Göttsching from Ashra?

It is. Later he worked solo and with E2–E4 he invented a totally new subgenre.
