Breaking in the Boneakers. The sole is soft, but the leather is stiff! Pretty comfy though..planning on wearing them on an upcoming trip to Berlin

Thanks!!! Yeah, although I don’t remember ordering them shorter that’s how’s they came. I’m ok with it! I think it’s 8 vs 10 inch. This olive horsebutt is a little thinner than our brown pair. Should make break in be smooth.
I really dig them. I’m trying to decide if I should throw them in the dome this year or not. The olive/natural top turned out better than I was thinking

Does anyone have experience with Zerrows Type One and Mr Lous? They are similar in price. Just wondering if build quality, comfort etc were comparable and if the shaft of the Zerrows works with slimmer jeans like the Mr Lou?

from my experience the quality of the zerrows is much better. I am not a fan of wesco to be honest, all you get from them is Red Wing quality for a high price.
look at eastwestapparel, Jamie has a wonderful variant of zerrows engineers. tea core latigo is great leather

dig the single stitching of the sole , they sometimes have double which I don’t like . -

I can help you out a little. Honestly the build quality of wesco is ok, But zerrows are lightyears ahead in fit and finish. They are some of the best made and highest quality leather I have had. have 1 pair of Mr Lou’s and 3 pairs of zerrows. One pair of slides and 2 pairs of horsehide engineers.
Depending on if you want a stocked pair from a stocklist or custom they are really easy to talk to on Instagram snd will answer Any questions and will make whatever you dream up. My two pairs were custom and build time was around 4 months. And came in cheaper than wesco’s

Tried to add the slides, but it wouldn’t let me. These I got from the shop Vancouver. They are
Green CXL. The engineers are brown and olive Maryam horsebuttHonestly if I was wanting a pair of new boots and between those two I would go zerrows all day long. I’ve talked to some people over the last few years who have zerrows and clinch engineers and would pick Zerrows.
