Great shot, James. I quite like it! I see what you did there. Having something blurred in the foreground is something I also do from time to time.

While I like the stand in the bottom right, that doesn't interfere with the subjects (only with the white background),
my eyes have a little bit of a problem with the red top right object interfering with the blue of the jeans.

Did you shoot it from an angle purposely?

The only thing I would try is moving just a tad left and tilting the cam to the right so it aligns with the lines on the floor and looks perfectly perpendicular to the wall. 😉
That should also do the trick to separate the red from the blue in the top right.

                Use it or lose it.

I’m a big fan of reflective photography, also love the puddle reflection shot you did. Only/best way to learn is to take pictures, and you’ll see what work’s/doesn’t work and what is pleasing to your eyes. Over time you’ll develop a style of photography that’s unique to you. Keep at it.

I don’t want to upload them to a computer or USB do you think it’s a good idea to make a new Instagram page ( private) and upload them there?

Thanks so much. Over the Summer they started this thing called The Circuit in Asbury Park,NJ,which is something that had previously existed in the 60s and 70s. Just an informal meet up of guys with their cars. If I’m in the area,I go and bring my camera. They’re on social media..FB and IG as well.

What a great shot, @Jett129 love the classic B&W look on this one.

@Jcaz6996 My typical routine is the following:

                                        1. Delete obvious f*** up shots (0-2 on a scale of 5) straight in the camera
                                        2. Load jpgs from SD to my MacBook
                                        3. Open in Preview and delete mediocre pics (3)
                                        4. Load the keepers (4 or 5) into the Mac Photo app
                                        5. Do minor corrections (mostly just cropping) to the ones that I feel like need it
                                        6. Upload the 5s to one of my iCloud albums so I can access them from anywhere at any time

That way there’s no mediocre shots at all in my library
and I can access the best of the best at any time and show them to my friends & family.

This process is way different to when I started 5 years ago with my Sony A6000. Back then I would have had 300 shots/day and load them all into the Photo App, leaving a big mess where I could not easily find the diamonds anymore… Now I shoot like 50/day and reduce them to 20 before I load them on my computer.
                                        Less is more! 😉

Im happy if I get two or three „5s“ throughout a day of shooting.

While we’re at it, here’s three shots from that „5s“ album, that I think I haven’t shared yet:

                                        November hike at Hirschhörnlkopf (2020)

                                        A walk in the rain

                                        Chicago Runner

                                        Use it or lose it.

@weftyarn The standout image for me is the umbrella.  It’s a great image that draws me to and focuses my attention on the subject.  I also like that you have framed it well with enough great material in the background that makes it interesting, and which to me strengthens the overall image.  Well done!
