Essential Wardrobe Items

What I need in winter:
A jeans shirt (IHSH-27)
A flannel shirt (IHSH-20)
A chambray (IHSH-16)
And I'm adding a new category: a corduroy shirt, cause the IHSH-50 deserves a mention!..Warm zip up sweaters to chill in (IHSW-01, J. Peterman sweaterjacket)
Pants to accompany said chillsweater (IH-801, IH-634S)Sweaters for layering (again IHSW-01, Studio d'Artisan indigo dipped loopwheeled crew, Wings+Horns fleece sweater)
Warm jackets but no big, heavy, long, superduperwarm real winterjackets as my warm ass doesn't tolerate those (IH-2527J, IH-527J, IH-9527J)
Good boots and jeans (IH-XHS666, Tricker's and Grenson's)
In spring I need a harrington jacket (Barracuta), light sneaks (GATs, OSB), t-shirts (IH). Same in autumn. During summer I just need it to be autumn again…

I'm with Megatron, I think boots (or shoes to take it one step further) for any season are key to any list. When I was selling outdoor gear, we were told you can always find shelter, hide under a plastic bag, or dry out your clothes, but if your feet aren't happy you aren't going very far today!
My three main essentials are as follows though:
Boots/Shoes - Blundstone 550s, my everyday workhorse all around boot or a quality pair of hand made oxfords/derbys.
Jeans (IH634S) these were my first full on pair of decent jeans. Up until last year I didn't know what I was missing!
Leather Jacket - I think everyone should have a decent leather jacket (unless morally or philosophically opposed of course!). My current favourite is my Aero Highwayman.

I think a leather is important, but not essential if you have a rugged, tough jacket of some other description. I have a vintage 70's, NYPD issue Schott Perfecto 602, which is in absolutely beautiful condition. These days it is only produced for the Japanese market, and retails at 93'000 Yen ( £760 or $1200), and the modern version is inferior to mine as all the hardware is repro, not original, it's an amazing jacket. I would (and do) choose my IHM-01 over it every day of the week.

Patagonia Torrentshell - keeps me protected from the elements in all but the coldest weather

Iron Heart shirting - currently SH-23, SH-38, and SH-43
Plain white or grey Ts

Uniqlo boxers and melange socks (is everyone else going commando? )

Grab my keys, wallet and phone and i'm out the door.
So aside from the obvious my navy IHW-01 is the one thing I'd say is essential.

Mine are also OG, and they've been on many many travels and adventures with me through three continents, and have never let me down. I bought them from the old Bape store in Osaka 6 years ago, and I have beat the shit out of them more than any other sneakers I have ever owned, nothing that Nike or Adidas have ever shown me can touch them for pure resilience, they are simply great.
