@Stringthing75 I understand, the shirts are next level too and I have a mighty collection myself!
Congrats on the weight loss as well

On the fence with these. I believe that I have my correct size dialed in but the length is way longer than I normally would go for. I'm usually a 38x34 or 36x34. 38 waist looks to be the correct measurements for me but they have a 37" inseam. Order them hemmed (no additional cost) but I can't return or have them hemmed later but have to pay out of pocket (I'd probably have Railcar to the hem).
-
@rahrah12 I checked what size inseam one of the pics in the videos on instagram was and just asked for mine to be hemmed the same.
Basically seen a look I liked, found the hemming size and got it. Worked out well for me.
It sounds like you know you're looking for a 34 so just get them hemmed at that upfront? saves a lot of hassle I think. -
I just measure a pair of my existing jeans and get the new pair hemmed to that length. I know there is a load of discussion about the rise making a difference to inseam, well it may, but I don't bother taking that into account.
However I'm guessing if I only had a pair of these to measure, it would make a difference...

But I don't....

@Stringthing75 That's what I was leaning towards - going with my normal length or maybe .5" longer. Was on the fence about not being able to return or exchange if necessary. Thanks.

Hey, everyone. Been lurking a bit for about a year and a half after purchasing a pair of very faded 634s second hand. Fell in love with the jeans -- and after acquiring a few more items (a deadstock hickory stripe western, black wabash pants)-- the brand in general.
I have been fading a pair of 21oz samurai 510's for the last year, and they had recently reached that level of fade where I start looking for my next project. I had been sort of toying with the idea of getting a fresh pair of the 634s to fade myself, as that worn pair really hooked me on the fabric.
Well, the restock and my decision to search for a pair were aligned perfectly. After a bit of back and forth with the customer service here (a truly great experience after a bit of a lack luster one trying to talk to the people at self edge) regarding measurements as I wanted a pair in a specific size with a true waist measure as low as possible, I locked in a pair. They arrived yesterday and I'm so hyped about them! Really looking forward to the journey ahead with them.
I'm attaching some photos of the old worn pair and the new pair side by side. I think the old pair is pretty impressive and it's cool to see the new pair next to an example of what potential they hold

@PopPop killer pair!! How old are those jeans?
-
@FlavourFade I wish I knew! I’m not the original owner, unfortunately. I am merely their custodian. I purchased them from an online second hand shop. They are pretty incredible looking
-
@PopPop saw this on Reddit the other day. Those are a sick score! Cool to see you grabbed a fresh pair too.
-
First I got size 33 in these but was too small. I then took size 35 because 34 was sold out and the fit was exactly what I looked after. really happy with these!
-
@PopPop I wonder if they are beyond the stage of Free Repairs from Iron Heart HQ... Theres life in them yet!
