IH-634S-19L - 19oz Left Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans

Hey guys, out of the bag I am completely shocked. Like what a cool thing to do. It's cool to have the 19lht to compare side by side to the 21lht… My initial thought was I should maybe see about returning for a size 35... But out ot the bag the difference in in 21L and my new 19L it perfect (because the old 21L are now a touch too big).
Side by side you can see the difference in the waist, even though they are the same size, same cutSpeaking about the denim, I'm completely blown away. The denim almost feels like rinsed 25XHS just slightly more compact in the gauge of yarn used I suspect. The 19L feels/looks more like XHS than 21L, the 21L feels more like 21 flagship than the 19L. The coloring is completely different.
I really love the somewhat minimalist leather tag. It should look wonderful aged.

The 19 lefty shrinks like crazy too dude, so hopefully they turn out spot on. The comparison with XHS fills me with joy. Glad you like them!

They seem to be very washed. There does not seem to be any need to soak or wash them any more than they already have been. And this is fine. Not everything has to be so form fitting. I now have bad knees and this morning I went to pee and nothing happened
so like maybe an inch smaller waistband ain't gonna help my plumbing out at all? 
If you look at the two wrinkles next to the left of the crotch you can see where the jeans have puckered from shrinking. I'm just going to wear mine as is. But not for a while yet. I have a specific goal in mind regarding my 21L pair and I want to follow through on that. It's only like another month or so.I just want to wait until my sister's dog, the hyper shedding, cat poop eating machine has left town again.

@LewisStonehouse Please be very careful about generalized statements concerning products…Your previous experience of 19L does not coincide with this batch.
This was taken from the 777 thread concerning this batch of 19L.
@dinobarnesberlin there will be no shrinkage and you can expect approx 1" of stretch in the waist over time with some consistent wear

I mean it's not a big deal. Oaktavia was saying his jacket shrunk quite a lot when he first got it. Even so, like I can see how these jeans have been washed already so I am satisfied with that guarantee of shrinkage out.

Welcome to the 19L club Mike. They shed color like crazy. I dont know where the shrink like crazy came about. I have 2 pairs and with cold wash, they just tightened up like any denim, but no shrinkage. Not sure if you hot wash them though.

To be fair the Type III is also sanforized and one washed and that went down over one full size with a very hot soak, but I realise this is a different batch.

First wear day today @Oaktavia @neph93 @LewisStonehouse @Giles @goosehd @Graham I know I'm forgetting people. But I just want to say thanks again. The jeans for like they were made for me. I don't know who RP is but he picked the perfect pair for me. I had to exhale slightly to get the top button done up. So this is perfect- I didn't have to try and stretch the waist or anguish lying down trying to get them buttoned up.
I love the texture of the denim, and yet is has that silky softness I love. They definitely feel like XHS but slightly less oppressive. I absolutely love them.

This stuff is like Oni secret denim mated with XHS but it isn't itchy but has a rough texture, and yet still has that familiar dense, heavy and silky Iron Heart feel. It is really cool.

Good call… I'm so happy you like them. @LewisStonehouse and I discussed sending you tokens so you could get the UHR, but we took a risk on these. Lewis felt it was more personal and I know I bloody love this denim.

The others are hot Garbo but here's a fit pic. You can see these fit me excellent in this picture. Sort of a slim silhouette and yet they are generous enough to be extremely comfortable.

It just so happens that I still have one of my off-cuts from my 18 ounce Vulcans… And yes it is similar, but I think this 19L is stiffer and has a lot more surface roughness and neps (secret denim)... But is seems like this 19L has been calendared or something to smooth them out, or this is from the Leftiness of the denim. This is why I am making the XHS comparisons. I think 16oz Trophy Dirt denim feels a lot like IH 18oz denim, but the dirt denim has a lot rougher texture. Everything Iron Heart is always denser and smoother than anything else.
