I'm a lawyer, but I'm working in the government so therefore I can get away with denim. I do have to have dress-ish shirts though, and other than the IHSH-44 and maybe the IHSH-46, I'm not sure I can "get away" with many of the other shirts on a regular basis.

Therefore I ask you guys: what is your "goto" for a buy-once-cry-once quality oxford shirt? I want shirts that keep their shape, color and look good even when they are worn in. Heavy weight is a plus.

Hmm, do you think it would work with a blazer/sport coat in a cinch? (I have to be ready to run off at the masters bidding and look businesslike).

Iron heart options i would go with the following:

ihsh-21 heavy weight but i wear it year round
ihsh-44 & ihsh-46 not what you would expect i would wear both of these year round

now other shirts that i think are well made & are in-tune with social concerns are apolis & outlier.  they are very well constructed & the outlier in general are put together in a really unique way.  i won't say either are heavy weight, but they are great shirts.  here are links for both.

These shirts were being sold at ACL at one point and then, one day, disappeared. Any idea where they are available for purchase online?

edit to include: or you can contact the guy that runs the site & see if he has any available for purchase.  you know the saying about a closed mouth doesn't eat

Thank you very much! And yes, socially responsible clothing is important! Thanks for bringing it up.

Hamilton sells through their own site, their customer service is great
they also sell the 1883 line through some shops around, I've seen some online at unionmade SF, though smaller selection

yeah before the end of winter i have a shirt that i have made up my mind to get from hamilton.  depending on how that goes, i might purchase one or two more for my fleet of semi-professional lookin' shirts.

**just different to the flannels i usually wear to work.  folks at my job say either i'm a lumberjack or a member of some sort of secret flannel society.  i tell them it's closer to the second assumption 😃

One is never disappointed by the quality of IH. So pick up your choice between the great white (IHSH44), blue or chambray.
The great white is really good, I wear it all the time.

In the Oxfords: I just received a Spellbound Oxford which looks great and feels good.
I saw that Nigel Cabourn is also doing an Oxford. But at the retail price of 360€ (500$) I guess I would rather go to Place Vendôme in Paris to the Charvet shirt shop and get myself a tailor made shirt or half-tailor.
