If you want a more fitted look in the thights, take a DC4001 in W33. I have similar measurements like you and for my feeling the 634SB W33 is much too lose in the upper thight. The difference in the diameter of the knee of those jeans would be 0.127". Not sure if that qualifies as a lot looser. That's an eighth of an inch in the diameter
I know I'm late to the game, but I would have to agree that the 634S would be the way to go. For the athletic types, a tapered fit makes you look like a carrot with big feet

nobody thinks in terms of diameter for jeans! We think of measurements as they are laid flat.
