IHSH-22 Large check flannels

I got the IHSH-22 in size Medium.  I found it to be slightly larger than most IH shirts, but not as large as the IHSH-23.  I gave it two warm soaks, one at 40deg and one at 60deg.  The shoulders shrunk from approximately 46.25 to 45.25, and the other dimensions comparably.  The amount of shrinkage was a bit less than the IHSH-23.  Post-soak, I would say the fit on this shirt most closely resembles the IHSH-18, but with each dimension approximately 0.5 to 1 cm larger.

The IHSH-22 is much shaggier than the IHSH-19 and IHSH-23.  It's thicker than the IHSH-19 and seems to have approximately the same thickness as the IHSH-23.  The nap becomes matted down after washing but wearing the shirt causes a quick return to its shaggy state.  Unlike the IHSH-18 and IHSH-19, the pocket flaps and cuffs are not lined with chino.  This is a detail I would have liked to see in the current release of shirts, but perhaps they are too thick for it.

The pattern is possibly my favorite from IH.  I was considering getting the pink IHSH-22 to balance out the number of blue shits I own but I liked the design of the blue one too much.

all joking aside, these shirts are perhaps even softer than the recent superheavys. really.

just so you know, i am 5'9" and about 185lbs and i am wearing XL's (also lululemon shorts and havianas)

the blue pattern is sublime. wait till you see it. the blue/green i such a killer colorway, but the blue….

Simon,  What do you think as to the sizing?  There has been talk of them running larger that other IH shirts.  But all of the ones I tried on and measured against other shirts suggested they were pretty much similar size-wise.  G

hey guys!

i find the fit to be very similar to other flannels , but especially the ihsh-20.

the pocket fit is also similar to the '20, as in my iPhone fits in the pocket and i can snap it closed w/o having to stretch it.

well, it certainly is a beautiful day on the back deck. there is not a single cloud in the sky!

lando, we just need to find you the right one.  OR your hairline "needs" make a necessity out of it. LIKE MINE HAS.

How heavy are these relative to the ultra heavy flannels?  I've really got my eye on that blue/green.

These are for the warmer season - way lighter than the heavy flannel - perfectly breezy
