Today is the 25th anniversary of the Fallout franchise and they shared this awesome wallpaper

I remember just poring over the box art and the possibilities seemed infinite. PC games lost some of that magic when they stopped making large boxes and instruction manuals. It was all themed so perfectly.

Yeps still playing Warhammer 40000 Dawn of War . 15 guys renting a summerhouse twice a year for four days. Playing DOW and drinking beer. We have done that since 1998. (Dow since 2004. Before that we played Red Alert)

@PJ The first DOW was so good. Must've done some serious hours on that. Got the Red Alert Remaster last year and forgot how damn hard it is
@GardenState think Fallout 1 is genuinely my favourite game of all time, epic!

@AdamJ @GardenState I think there are several fallout iso games being made by fans. Someone is also making a remake from isometric to 1st person in the fallout 4 creation engine.
Speaking of Fallout, Starfield looks like it's going to be a lot more in depth than Fallout 3 or 4.

@Filthy Think I might do the many armed one with the guns. Or the one where he wears a detective's trench coat. So many to choose from. I need to see if I see still have the instruction manual from the very first game.

..That's easily done! I was an earlier backer myself way back in 2013 and then forgot all about it for ages, picked it back up again in the last few years now I've got a PC powerful enough to play it - I find it easier to not think about how much I've spent

And before I play a new game, I see if they're trying to hack it. If so, I will play. For bad games, hackers will not waste their time. Nowadays, it's easy to find online game hack forums like https://www.guidedhacking.com/ and see what games are trending. At the same time, I am amazed at the energy of these people trying to hack games. If you combine these two forces, those who create and those who hack games, what a powerful product we would have. But that's the way it is, a natural cycle. "Yes" cannot exist without "no."
