Forum Suggestions?

Gilles, mods, other people in high places,
I'd like a thread/section devoted to polls or questions relating to the brand and products. I don't mean a quiz, but more like 'multiple choice' questions that could help shape future products and decisions (although some could just be for fun as well).
In the past there have been a few of these, such as what arc colour the 555s should have, and what your favourite IH denim is.
People enjoy being able to participate in this wAy, and its always interesting to see the relative popularity of various options.
This thought came to me while debating the leather triangle on the Vulcans, as it would be interesting to know whether the majority favoured this or not. Other possible questions that spring to mind are "what colour hardware do you prefer on IH jeans? (Silver/antique)" and "what rise do you prefer? (Low/medium/high)". The questions could be very specific, or quite general.

This is a difficult one. We have a thread for suggestions/ideas, which people could use for this sort of thing and if they did, I would not veto it. We really do try and be open and do not try to over-moderate.
But the essence of the direction Iron Heart goes in, has to be vested in Haraki, if we get too much input there are 2 possible outcomes.
- We ignore it because it dilutes what IH is and we piss you guys off
- We do what you suggest/vote for and we no longer have Haraki's DNA running through the products.
I have a lot of input into what we do, but sometimes Haraki simply refuses. I understand and accept that. This is his brand and whilst I know a lot more about Western customers and what they want than he does, there are some things he will not countenance.
Also we ask 100 people what they want we'll get at least 101 different suggestions.
Keep popping ideas up, we love that - and the ones that Haraki likes he uses.

The 'Suggestions' thread is a good one, and adds an element ( or perceived element
) of democracy to the whole thing. I guess for me - coming from a scientific background - I just like seeing things quantified! I dig stats. -
Something we need- one less Belgierian.

Might we add the Middle East to the country section? I'll be moving to Tel Aviv in a few months and plan to rock my IHs there (although dunno how 21 oz is going to fly during the summer in Israel).
Anyways….show some love for semites!

Oops sorry sir! Vague statement on my part: I meant the city guides section that is broken down by sub-categories of region.

Here's an idea (and I haven't read the whole thread to see if it's been discussed, so apologies if it has)– what if there was an option in every item-specific thread to view a pics-only version of the thread? Something that eliminated all text from the thread, so you could just browse the pics that had been posted.

Styleforum has something similar. There's a gallery on the right side that you can see all of the images in that thread. Really great feature.
