Ian finished his round the world venture today.  We went to see him return…

This is Suhali, with Sir Robin on board.  It was in Suhali that Robin became the first man to circumnavigate the globe single handed.  Robin got Suhali renovated specially to welcome the crews home...

In my opinion 3 of the most beautiful boats in the world, these are J Class yachts, 2 built in the 30's and one a modern replica.  Velsheda, Ranger and Lionheart..

A few planes joined in the fun…

And Ian arrives back after the best part of 51 weeks.  He only came in 9th out of 10 overall, but he did win the trophy for best seamanship not having broken a single significant piece of kit the whole way around…

this thread is really incredible.  looks like all are enjoying July. Rocket, i'm glad you made it back after all that excitement at that parade.  some of those guys actually had me looking twice trying to figure out if it was/wasn't a guy/girl

This thread is just on fire!

Headed up north this weekend to for the annual golf trip I take with my Dad.  It's the one time of year I golf, but I just can't say no to a weekend of booze, fun, and that good ol northern Michigan outdoors with my Dad and bunch of friends…

There were trees for days.  Garland, the resort we go to every year is in the middle of nowhere.  I wasn't able to snag any pictures, but a bunch of eagles actually live on one of the courses and I saw one of em this morning…

My Dad and I on one of the greens.  He doesn't know it yet, but I'm starting to brainstorm an Iron Heart purchase for him.  Gonna see if I can't bring him over to the dark side…
