If you have the chance, hike up to Zapata falls on the way out. Really fun place that feels like it shouldn't be right next to dunes.

I recall this being super short and the hike ends by walking through the river to the base of the falls. Less than 1hr round trip iirc. But I completely understand needing to manage your time. Enjoy the trip!

I have 3 daughters (11,4 and 4) who feel very similar about the 20 minute trail walk to the water we "subjected them to" today.....

Early morning hike from Boulder, view would be amazing, but very poor visibility (I guess wildfire smoke)

@steelworker I hadn’t realised that they look like metalwork (but I can definitely see it). They’re actually details of casts of carved wooden doorways (at least one of the originals has been lost/destroyed, maybe both).

Whatever they are, they’re definitely beautiful though.

Weekend just gone, a mates Stag Do at 'Rock n Ribs' Festival. If you have never been, highly recommend it!

Lots of old school American cars and bikes, a tattoo tent, a wrestling tent, School buses kitted out as bars, Rock music, Country music, Monster Trucks and lots for the kids to do as well, very family friendly other than 10 grown men play fighting all weekend
