First part of my summer holidays is over... Back to the grind! My favourite bakery on my way home...

I walked 125kms. Did 45kms in 24 hours Sunday and Monday. That was fun!
Homemade slices were of course in order as well...

Taking the family, by ferry, to meet up with friends for a long weekend on a heavily forested island in the Puget Sound (an hour or so south of Seattle)

If you have the chance, hike up to Zapata falls on the way out. Really fun place that feels like it shouldn't be right next to dunes.

More adventurous stuff I have to do between 6AM and 9, while they are still sleeping

I recall this being super short and the hike ends by walking through the river to the base of the falls. Less than 1hr round trip iirc. But I completely understand needing to manage your time. Enjoy the trip!

I have 3 daughters (11,4 and 4) who feel very similar about the 20 minute trail walk to the water we "subjected them to" today.....
