IH-888S-21 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut Jeans - Indigo

Mine arrived yesterday, my first IH denim. I was mainly worried about there being too much room in the seat as I've fairly slim thighs and butt, but the fit everywhere is exactly what I wanted......bar the waist! I sized the waist (31 tag) to be right after an inch of stretch but it's even tighter than I expected it to be. Likely due to me not being experienced with this weight denim but it literally took me 5 minutes to get the top button done up, and I have significant stomach overhang! May have to swap the 31 for a 32.

@Jam_Shar denim only stretches if it is under strain so I always go with measurements that fit me near enough straight off.

@Jam_Shar You want them to be relatively tight in the waist to begin with, but not uncomfortable. They will have a decent amount of give, we say around 1" but that is not an exact science, some people have had 1.5" even slightly more stretch from 21oz over time

@Jam_Shar I have a W32 and have a similar issues with my old pair, I need to size up. I don't necessarily think it's the weight of the denim, more the cut, yet i've other 888's in heavier weights (in larger sizes waists too which fit fine

Shocked at how supple and soft these are upon receiving mine just now. I've been breaking in the 21OD from the last drop and found them a bit crunchy upon arrival. The indigo jeans arrived as soft as my 21OD jeans after 4-5 weeks of wear. Excited to go on the fade journey with these...

Just got mine in the mail yesterday. 888 is my favorite cut and 21 oz is my favorite fabric, this is my first pair that has both.

Still waiting for my pair to be delivered. My local UPS is having issues and the package is stuck in a loop. Gets loaded on a vehicle, shows as out for delivery, and then get redirected and sent back to a delivery center. Very frustrating but my wait continues.
