Just got this bad boy in the other day. First OD piece from IH, this denim is heavier than some of my leathers. How are we feeling about the fit?

I have one of these en route. I wear a 42/XL in other IH denim jackets, so I'm hoping this one fits nicely. It will be interesting to compare it to the 19 oz. left hand twill. The LHT is substantial and stiff, so I'm hoping the weave on this one has a different look and feel. Hopefully, I'll have it in hand by the coming weekend as the weather cools a bit here in Colorado.

Self Edge still has a XXL in stock, but I'm worried about the sizing. I'm new to IH and don't want to be stuck with a jack that is too small. I reached out about the accuracy of the specs and they were little generic/dismissive with my concerns. Anyone with an XXL have any thoughts? Thanks!

I have a 3XL and I can confirm it’s smaller in the chest than usual type III’s. Mine measures 23”. It’s a lot longer and slimmer @geordieb74

@geordieb74 i have an xxl overdye from the first batch so this may not be helpful as what is on their website is the 2nd run. And i didnt take down the original specs they provided.
Shoulders straight across is 20
Chest is 22 p2pIs there a particular spec you care more about?
I must say i have left notes with them in the past for other orders and they are ok at helping out...

@Choko thanks, probably would be too small. I’ve got the Iron & Resin waxed cruiser in XXL and it’s 24-25” P2P and has 27” sleeves.

@cyclops thanks, for this price, it’d have to hit the trifecta of sleeve length, body length, and chest, all of which I’d prefer to be a little too much than not enough. I’m an athletic 6’4” 200 lbs.

@goosehd he has the OD, which looks to have different sizing (listed on the SE website) than the indigo.

@geordieb74 I’ve done a quick search and don’t see anyone who has one of these jackets in Indigo. Doesn’t mean that no one has one here, I just can’t find any reference of where they posted.
@GTPowers has an indigo one in size 42 (??) and you may be able to extrapolate your sizing questions from him. For example, he can measure his jacket and see how far it’s off or close to the posted measurements on the Self Edge website.
You may want to drop Self Edge an email with your questions concerns if you want/need a quicker answer.

@goosehd I've reached out to them and they are anything but helpful. I asked for a measurement and their response was "is the size chart not showing up for you" (...great, thanks).
