IHB-08 - Heavy Duty "Tochigi" Leather Belt with Nickel Plated Garrison Buckle
-
I picked up one of these and I’m not feeling the polished nickel in person. I started wearing it and was hoping that it would dull and patina, but from reading above it sounds like that doesn’t really happen. I don’t want to force it and risk it looking off, but the polished look doesn’t really work for me. You think there’s any chance IH would sell me a brass buckle?

@michaeldlamb It will patina with age its just going to take a fair amount of work, as you can see here https://forum.ironheart.co.uk//post/577839. Ill double check when we are back in the office on Monday but im pretty sure we dont have any of the buckles spare im afraid, but I will double check.

Happy to hear about a restock. Would love a black one
Regarding oiling, curious what @Alex was linking to in one of the original posts: https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=1977.0
Anyone know if that still exists somewhere? I already have one of the natural ones and hadn't really spent any time thinking about oiling. Curious about it now. -
@Alex no worries. In your second post on this thread you included the link. Just looked again and the post was made 9 years ago so it’s likely long gone
