Yeah, I ended up sizing up about two sizes.  Well, actually three from the 634S.  Waist is about 35", so I got a size 36.

Have you guys washed them at all?  I read what G wrote, about not washing them right-side-out and with hot water or you might get some weird fade lines.  So does that mean that we should wash them inside-out and in cold water?  And are we talking wash or soak?

For initial wash (first 2 or 3 washes), it is better to spin as low as possible (500-700rpm) in a 30-40 deg cel in a delicate cycles.. After that, its ok for a normal cycle but i doubt you ever really need to wash this in normal cycle unless you really use this for a truly work pants.
As for the inside out wash regime.. it is advisable to do so in a lifetime of a pants to minimize the colour loss and to get a nice even fade on the duck cotton.. This pants is really nice and comfortable to wear one size up unless you prefer a tight fit. But to use it for a workpants, extra room are priorities.. So size on up looks like a good choice..
        Hope this helps…

Hey Mank, thanks for the reply.

30-40C is warmer than I expected.  So do wash them inside-out in warm water then?

Sorry, but when you say "initial wash" do you mean before wearing them?  I.e. is it a good idea to wash these right away?  Or do you mean when you eventually do wash them, some months down the line?

          Thx

No need to wash when you get 'm… Just get 'm true to size and wear them hard... Wash when dirty... Shrinkage is minimal in the waist...

That is what i normally do.. Wash in a delicate cycle (machine wash) at 30-40 deg.. Off course you can wash them at cold cycles without any harm..
What i mean about the initial wash is after you wear it at some points, maybe first wash after 6 months.. And 2nd wash on the following month.. You need to be careful on those wash.. After that initial period you can wash them in Normal cycles.. but i doubt you ever really need to wash it in that cycles..
You can wear it straight away.. No real need to wash or soak this..

                              I got the 634S in a size 33, the 801s in a 36.  My waist is 34.75" around.

In hindsight, I got REALLY lucky that the size 33 fit me as well as it did, or does, seeing as how I did the dumb thing of ordering IH pants based on some gap jeans I had instead of actually measuring my waist.

They're really great.  They're a bit harder to match with shirts, color-wise, than jeans, but I've found a few go-tos.  And they're very comfortable.

It's also nice to be able to just unzip at the urinal instead of unbuttoning 🙂
