N1 vs Pecoat…

Over the past week or so I have used my N1 everyday… the temperature in Copenhagen hasn’t been above freezing, and on the days with considerable windchill I have found a flaw in the design of the N1. The front zipper/placket has zero insulation. Compared with the Peacoat and its overlapping double layer the N1 is nowhere near as insulating… I have even tried my Lightweight N1 with a thin merino/cashmere baselayer and Submariner sweater which actually keeps me warmer…

Anyone else have similar experiences ?

@MikeCD wore mine a couple of times recently (also in Copenhagen). For me the limitation in really cold conditions is not so much the zipper area, but the lack of length (and of a drawstring) and also the lack of a hood and option to "zip up" high over the chin... So: for days where I need a "real winter coat" I grab my other options that provide more protection..

@Tobi second the drawcord! Added my own! Another inch in the body would've been perfect jacket. So it's only 98% of perfect now lol

I'm saving now for a hopeful release of another N1 jacket this winter... People are going to think we're crazy posting in this thread in June though!

Hey all, quick question on the restock of the Khaki N1, I've noticed that the older versions of the N1 seem to have a different shade of khaki than the 26 release. Can any IH employees if this is the case or is it just differences in lighting in the product images?

I just bought what I think is this jacket on eBay a few days ago, was listed as "brown bomber jacket"...

@Peragus2 the shade of the alpaca is different on this seasons versions, colours you see online are accurate
