I have a pair of these that I can't make work. 33 (I'm usually a 34)…I'm going to list them next week, if any anyone wants them, unless persuaded to stick with it and that they stretch. I can get them on, not a problem, but it's pretty clear that it looks all packed in there if you know what I mean. I already lived through disco once.

I just received these jeans, but they didn't include a repair kit, is that right?

I´ve stretched mine more than 2 inches from 33. Button them up the first days was pain in the ass, i could not wear them with my wallet because my buttock has gone to sleep of the thightness.

I could have gone with the 36 or the 38 (I get size 36 in unsanforized jeans which usually are true size 37), but the 36 was out of stock and I didn't want to wait so I went with the 38. I have had them for a few months but don't wear them that much because they are a little big in the waist and the leg openings pipe over my shoes awkwardly…

Even though it is "early", I am thinking about giving them a hot wash and putting them in the dryer with high heat. I know they are sanforized but I am hoping that they might shrink a bit and become more wearable...

Open to thoughts, suggestions, and snide remarks.

I would sell and get a 36 rather than putting that pair through the wash/dry 🙂

I don't know if anyone would want to buy them. I wrote the first wear date on the inner pocket, but they don't have a lot of wear, and they are the first edition so they are signed and come with the repair kit…

I am 6'4" and one problem I run into a lot is that when you get to a size 36 waist most of the designers don't wear that size and they just automatically bump up the leg opening size. But seriously who gets that much bigger at the ankle?.... The fit everywhere else is decent if not good though.

You make it sound like I am going to torture them, they are a pair of workwear jeans after all haha.

He probably thinks you'd get more value if you sold them prior to giving them a soak. And he's most likely right if the end result is you selling them, regardless.

dually noted. How much shrinking do you think I could expect if I were to carry through with the "heat treatment"? I have a lot of jeans but I feel a weird sense of attachment to this pair.

i don't think enough to justify the rough heat treatment & they will eventually get back to original size.

to answer your question an inch or half an inch & that is if you are super lucky.  the jeans are, "Sanforised, so little shrinkage, but like all denim, will stretch up to an inch in the waist with wear."

oh, that last bit is lifted from here:

I hear ya and know what you say. My thinking was just typically peoples jeans stretch if they size down or put on weight because the jeans get stressed/stretched. But if I am able to get them half to a full inch smaller they will by no means be tight so they shouldn't stretch out very quickly at any rate and it might make them look a little better. They are by no means horrible as is, I just prefer a closer fitting cut. Maybe I will let a coin decide. Or save them for when I am old and and gain weight haha.

Save them, sell them or get a belt.  I'd probably save them even though I haven't really put on weight for 17 years.
