@samo not itchy at all. Wore it today on a dog walk, windy and 33F with just a t shirt and it was fine. Collar is the only thing really where the wool touches and it was tight against the neck and soft and warm.

Incidentally, I use the top snap to keep the collar around my neck versus the button and that works well and easier.

Another snow today. I hesitate to call these snow "storms" but for Ohio it's pretty neat. Fwiw a lot of the snow that looks to be ON the jacket is snow in front of the jacket. And because the wool insulates so well both sides show it. Warm on the inside and cold enough for snow not to melt on the outside.

Love the super low side-entry hand pockets on this one.
I find that hand warmer pockets, if placed higher up, are uncomfortable for me; and thus, non hand warming as a result.

A little late to the game. Kept revieiwning which jacket to go for UK and Australia interchangeably and left me out of game.

So after a complete non scientific two day comparison... I'm putting this jacket as significantly warmer than my whipcord N1. Today I have been much more comfortable outside in the Melton Wool than yesterday in the N1. It's colder today also by about 7-10°. This jacket does fit better, the N1 is a size to big. That could play a factor I imagine.
