@Giles well,

Between a snow storm on Monday and an ice storm that’s lasted for two days now, the thoughts of a tropical location with warm waters and fish is extremely appealing. Enjoy the dive’s!!
We are reconsidering our yearly trip to the Caribbean as of now. We didn’t book one because we didn’t want to pull the oldest out of classes…after this week, not so sure.

@Giles at what resort are you staying and what liveabord? Central Raja has some of the strongest currents I experienced so far, but the marine life came in abundance. Reef hooks are indeed needed and timing of water entry is everything. I had 3 times when I missed the mark just by jumping from the other side of zodiac from the guide. Those 2 meters really made allot of difference. I had to work really hard to catch up.

And
Thanks for the tip re: currents. We have done Socorro where they are really extreme and required negative entry. A few places in the Maldives (Channels of course), they are really big too.
