Hey guys, I'm reading conflicting opinions, and I'm sure it's not the end of the world either way, but should I size up from my 634S fit or get the same size?  My 634S were tight when they arrived, but fit perfectly now (don't need a belt).  Some say get the same size, I believe Giles said to size up…confused!

                                Thx!

Size up one, aka go true to size. I wear 31 in 634s (which stretches to 32), and 32 in 801. The 801s do NOT stretch so don't count on it…

Yeah, I ended up sizing up about two sizes.  Well, actually three from the 634S.  Waist is about 35", so I got a size 36.

Have you guys washed them at all?  I read what G wrote, about not washing them right-side-out and with hot water or you might get some weird fade lines.  So does that mean that we should wash them inside-out and in cold water?  And are we talking wash or soak?

For initial wash (first 2 or 3 washes), it is better to spin as low as possible (500-700rpm) in a 30-40 deg cel in a delicate cycles.. After that, its ok for a normal cycle but i doubt you ever really need to wash this in normal cycle unless you really use this for a truly work pants.
As for the inside out wash regime.. it is advisable to do so in a lifetime of a pants to minimize the colour loss and to get a nice even fade on the duck cotton.. This pants is really nice and comfortable to wear one size up unless you prefer a tight fit. But to use it for a workpants, extra room are priorities.. So size on up looks like a good choice..
                                        Hope this helps…

Hey Mank, thanks for the reply.

30-40C is warmer than I expected.  So do wash them inside-out in warm water then?

Sorry, but when you say "initial wash" do you mean before wearing them?  I.e. is it a good idea to wash these right away?  Or do you mean when you eventually do wash them, some months down the line?

                                          Thx
