@Aussie-Ben I am in London and I have flown to Germany a couple of times to see them, makes for a good weekend away.
MJK always puts on a good show - you will enjoy it.
I recently got tix for APC next year in Brixton, which I am psyched about.

@Aussie-Ben I’ve seen Tool now on 3 separate occasions and hope to make it to more…always impressed with how tight they play together.
The first time I saw them was general admission and I stood behind someone smoking meth for just about the entire concert. He looked like he had a decent time, but was messed up pretty bad by the end of the concert…everything kind of fell apart for him when the mosh pit started…
Edit: Also reminds me of when I saw Pink Floyd…guy there was smoking weed the entire time and probably high on an hallucinogenic as well. He was so out of it that when his buddies caught his shoe laces on fire, that he didn’t know…a few of us ended up pouring some beer on his shoes to put it out.

@Aussie-Ben Tool has to be the top 2 loudest shows I’ve ever been to. The sound was incredible. Just so sooo loud!!
In the easy chair with my boots on, melted whiskey in my hand. Could'na been asleep for more than three hours...time to go to work again...

@Mizmazzle Ended up rolling tissues and putting in my ears for that reason. My ears still rang for a day or two afterwards…

I reckon I’ve missed a lot of the concerts from what I believe to be the last great era of music.
Pearljam being another I wish I had seen.As more Meth, apparently it was being used heavily at Metallica too. It’s a destructive and disgusting drug

@Aussie-Ben I’ve lived in a few areas over the years where going to concerts was easy, not to mention not having kids at the time.
Since we’ve moved to a quieter part of the world and had kids, going to concerts is way more work.
I went to my first live concert in 16 years this fall and enjoyed every minute of it…
I do miss seeing bands live, but finding time and money to do so (holy hell did they ever get expensive) is way harder to do than in my youth.

@goosehd prices for some tickets (and the games you have to play to get them) are crazy. Having said that, some small venues and slightly obscure bands can be criminally underpriced. I’ve had some of my best nights out with sub-£20 tickets. Maybe some options near you if you’re happy to experiment?

Going to see Bob Dylan this weekend for like the 20th time or something.
Not for everyone I know, but always delivers for me. No pics allowed as all phones must be locked in a Yondr pouch for duration of the show. Have to say, it was really good with people focusing on the show when Bob has insisted on this at last few gigs. -
